In January of 2007, my friend Dennis and I explored the Patagonian Ice Cap and circumnavigated Cerro Torre and Fitzroy along the way. We had done the Shackleton Crossing together a couple of years before. On our flight back from Punta Arenas, we flew very low over the Patagonian Ice Cap and vowed we go explore it some day. it took us three years, but we made it and were blessed with pretty good weather the whole time.
